MISTAKE MAKING

What if we give ourselves permission to fail, without negative connotation, in the process of learning how to do new things? There are risks involved. How can we create a support system so that when we make mistakes, other people will help us get through them? . . .
Do you have mistake-of-the month meetings, where people get together, step forward, and share their best mistakes?

We celebrate our victories and successes, but we have trouble with our defeats, losses and failures. It is sad because defeats, losses and failures are what we have to go through to learn how to be more fully us, to be more fully able to express our gifts. We have to endure the mistake-making process.

B.L.E.F. Anything I do I can do Better if I’m will to Learn. But I Earn my learning the old-fashioned way by Failing enough to get it. I think that is a key piece to learning. Maybe we just have not been willing to enter back into that sometimes painful and frustrating learning process. If we are going to break out of old patterns and generate new, healthier responses to stressful life events, there is going to be a learning curve to grow through--and mistakes along the way.
